Asbestos Vets’ is seeking a Paralegal to join their team of researchers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To prepare legal documents to help attorneys
  • To perform legal and factual research, cross-check and validate the information
  • To organize and maintain documents in paper or electronic format
  • Gathering important information, statutes, legal articles, and other documents
  • To manage time-sensitive documents effectively
  • To review new and updated laws
  • Keeping the law library up-to-date by regular monitoring of legal books

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, Associates degree in paralegal studies or Certificate program in paralegal studies, Paralegal certification may be required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Multi-tasking ability

Asbestos Vets’ is currently seeking a full-time Paralegal Assistant to join their growing team! The ideal candidate for this job should have exceptional problem-solving skills and strong work ethics.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To perform administrative duties such as making copies, answering calls
  • To coordinate appointments and all correspondence necessary
  • To assist in court during a trial
  • To assist with billing and accounting
  • Implement and improve administrative processes for more efficient workflow

Skills and Qualifications

  • Two-year degree or equivalent certification
  • 2 or more years of working experience as a paralegal assistant
  • Familiarity with MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision

Asbestos Vets’ is currently seeking a full-time Records Manager to supervise the operations of their records department! Our ideal candidate is someone with a high degree of technical proficiency, accuracy, and expert understanding of records management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To manage the workflow and guide other team members within the records department
  • Ensure the accuracy of filed documents
  • Assist in training of new members
  • Ensure that file management practices are appropriately followed
  • To create as well as review documentation storage guidelines regularly

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a law firm
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to learn legal software related to record management
  • Detail-oriented and reliable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently

Asbestos Vets’ seeks a full-time Case Manager to join their growing team! The ideal candidate is one who values strong work ethics and should be able to work in a fast-paced office environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide good service to veterans seeking representation for their veterans benefits
  • Assist attorneys in claim handling
  • Regular follow-up with clients as per each due date
  • To keep clients abreast with the attorney’s plan for their case as well as their claim status with the VA
  • To respond to all client’s messages and e-mails within 24 hours
  • Ensure that all the information is provided in Case Summary to be presented for doctor examination and evaluations
  • To maintain a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and productivity in case handling

Skills and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, preferably 3-5 years of customer service experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Adaptability/being resilient and trustworthy
  • Good decision-making ability

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To understand requests and inquiries from clients and provide accurate information and prompt assistance to them
  • Respond to telephone inquiries, direct call traffic to the appropriate person
  • To ensure seamless day-to-day operations at the firm
  • Meet and greet visitors in a friendly manner
  • Receive, document, and mail out documents by following established guidelines
  • Other general and clerical duties

Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Prior work experience in client service preferred
  • High levels of customer service and emotional intelligence
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Attention to detail

Asbestos Vets’ is currently seeking a certified B-reader specializing in the radiology of asbestos and other occupational lung diseases to join their team!

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To accurately interpret chest X-rays and CT scans
  • To provide precise and timely B-reads within 24-48 hours.
  • To classify chest X-rays according to the ILO classification system

Skills and Qualifications

  • Radiologist/pulmonologist with certification as B-reader from the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a B-reader
